My drinking room
This entry was oh... meant to be posted last year (just like many of the entries to come), but as you all know ehemm... I'm a horrible procrastinator.
Last year, Min-ching asked to see pictures of my "new" room since her latest visit to Philly was largely spent painting it. Over a period of two days, we had gowned ourselves with the ever handy CHOP scrubs, filled in the gaps on the walls, sanded it, taped the edges of the room, primed, and painted away.
Interestingly, while we both were engaged in the same type of activity, at the end of the day, Min-ching was absolutely spotless, while I had paint all over myself. There had been a lot of oops, darn, and shoot! Can you pass me the wet towel again? Please fast! Ahh…
The efforts paid off. I now have what I refer to as my drinking room. Half chocolate, half cream… or more accurately, half coffee and half white mocha :)
Here are some before and after pictures. I really couldn’t have done it without Min-ching’s amazing help! (AND encouragement. In fact, I was planning to put it off until after the GRE, but she insisted on doing it back then. Good call!)

Look at how nasty the walls used to be! It's amazing what a bit of putty and a coat of fresh paint can do to a place!

Wow, you have a bed AND a futon in your room?
Looks nice.
GO SCRUBS!!! they got you through mexico AND the paint job...right? maybe i should major in that science stuff...jk. (sorry to disappoint you) =]
Haha.... i see bob's dropping comments in. =]
Room looks great. Looked crowded before and now it looks well furnished and spacey. yay. i wish my room looks like that, i have to share it with Alice and that's not exactly fun... you have to figure out when you want to sleep, and what time, and then confer with the other person. Other wise you get: HEY! I"m not ready to SLEEP YET! and a bunch of "I"m GOING TO SLEEP AND THAT"S THAT!!!!!!!"
Scrubs. hehe, did you know there's actually a catalogue for those? I saw a store for it once too. I thought it was kinda wierd at first, but then hey doctors use them so why not?
YAY! now you can "DRINK" all the time..... cuz you're room's the drink room! BTW.... you're a really neat person. You should see the room me and alice occupy, it's plain messy everywhere. XP
DOn't you dislike it when somebody calls you an idiot to your face just cuz you said you're 15 years old? I mean come on! You're only going to be 15 once in your entire lifetime, so why not live it out to the fullest? haha, they said i was an idiot cuz thier sister was in 10th grade or 11th grade, and that there once was this person that was called tenn, and was in tenth grade......i had question marks printed all over me.
I Hope you're sleeping well. Everytime you mention sleeping, it get me thinking that you're typing away somewhere, and you've got those sleepy eyes cuz you're like sleep depressed. Then i think about when i walked into class one day after getting little sleep and my chem. partner was all like "When did you go to sleep?... you know you should get more sleep.... it's good for your body." blah. yuppers. Get more sleep! And this isn't peer pressure..... it's a health crisis that needs attention. =)
Are you going to graduate school?
forgot... how are you?
